CHESTER COUNTY, PA — Overnight paving will restrict traffic on Cambridge Road and Business U.S. 30 beginning Sunday, July 19, as PennDOT continues a regional resurfacing program. Drivers should plan extra time because backups and delays are expected through both work zones.

A lane closure with flagging will be in place on Cambridge Road between U.S. 322 (Horseshoe Pike) and the Lancaster County line in Honey Brook Township. The restriction is scheduled from 6:00 p.m. Sunday, July 19, to 6:00 a.m. Monday and again from 6:00 p.m. Monday to 6:00 a.m. Tuesday.
Business U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) will be restricted between Route 10 (Octorara Trail) and the Lancaster County line in West Sadsbury Township from Monday, July 20, through Thursday, July 23. Lane closures with flagging are scheduled nightly from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning.
No detours have been announced. Drivers should reduce speed, follow directions from flaggers and seek alternate routes when practical.
The work is part of ongoing contracts to repair and resurface more than 240 miles of state highways across the Philadelphia region. Crews will repair, mill and repave the roads with new asphalt intended to improve pavement conditions and provide a smoother driving surface.
All scheduled activities are weather dependent and may be postponed or rescheduled.
