WEST BRANDYWINE, PAFreedom Village at Brandywine took an active role in supporting the 13th Annual Golf Outing by the Sweet Jane’s Wish Foundation, held last week at the Downingtown Country Club. This event, crucial for raising funds for scholarships and local charities, saw Freedom Village both as a sponsor and participant, reinforcing its commitment to community support.

The Sweet Jane’s Wish Foundation, founded in 2012 in honor of Jane Gerlach Booge, a breast cancer patient, has made significant contributions to the community. It has awarded over $150,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors at local high schools and donated $30,000 to organizations like Living Beyond Breast Cancer and the Chester County Hospital Shine Foundation, aiding women with breast cancer.

Freedom Village contributed not only financially but also through participation, with four resident golfers joining the event. “At Freedom Village, we are committed to giving back to the community, and we are honored to continue supporting the incredible work of Sweet Jane’s Wish Foundation,” said Mary Main, Sales and Marketing Director.

The golf outing successfully gathered supporters in a day filled with camaraderie and purpose. Funds raised will benefit local causes and provide educational opportunities for students, emphasizing the event’s significant impact on the community.
