CHESTER COUNTY, PA — Drivers across the region should expect daytime lane closures and slowdowns next week as PennDOT crews tackle widespread pothole repairs on multiple state highways.

Maintenance crews will conduct rolling repairs across several major routes, including U.S. 1 in New Garden Township, U.S. 30 through Valley, Caln, and Sadsbury townships, and Route 3 (West Chester Pike) across multiple Chester County communities.

Additional work will take place on Route 100 Spur, Route 472 (Lancaster Pike), and several local roads, including Art School Road, Birchrun Road, Hollow Road, and Pikeland Road/Clover Mill Road.

Motorists should expect intermittent lane restrictions and possible slowdowns as crews move between locations. Plan extra time and remain alert when traveling through active work zones.

PennDOT reported receiving more than 8,700 pothole-related concerns since January and has used over 7,000 tons of asphalt across the region to address roadway deterioration.
