SALISBURY TWP, PA — Motorists traveling Route 30 (Lincoln Highway) in eastern Lancaster County should prepare for daytime delays beginning Monday, November 2, as the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) launches pavement patching and roadway repairs along a four-mile stretch through Salisbury and Sadsbury townships.
At a Glance
- Roads Affected: Route 30 (Lincoln Highway), between Route 772 (Newport Road) and County Line Road.
- Dates: Beginning Monday, November 2, 2026, for approximately one month.
- Times: Daylight hours; specific work times were not announced.
- Reason: Pavement patching, road base repairs and joint repairs.
Drivers should expect intermittent lane restrictions, with flaggers directing traffic through the construction zone as needed. PennDOT plans to maintain traffic throughout the project using temporary lane restrictions rather than a continuous road closure.
The work is part of a $4.4 million resurfacing project that includes pavement repairs, stormwater drainage improvements, new guiderail and updated roadway signs.
Full-width paving of Route 30 is scheduled for spring 2027, with the overall project expected to finish by November 8, 2027. JVI Group Inc. of York Springs is the contractor.
Motorists should allow extra travel time and remain alert for changing traffic patterns. Construction is weather dependent.
