PHILADELPHIA, PA — A Northampton County man was sentenced Wednesday, October 28, 2026, to 50 years in federal prison for producing child sexual abuse material over approximately nine years, concluding a prosecution involving 22 counts of production and one count of possession.
Efrain Baez-Feliciano, 38, of Northampton, Pennsylvania, received the sentence from U.S. District Judge Jeffrey L. Schmehl, according to U.S. Attorney David Metcalf. The court also imposed lifetime supervised release and financial penalties, including $98,500 in restitution to victims.
Baez-Feliciano pleaded guilty in June 2026 to 22 counts of producing child sexual abuse material and one count of possessing it. A federal grand jury had indicted him in October 2025.
Federal prosecutors established that Baez-Feliciano produced the material on multiple occasions over approximately nine years.
In addition to his prison sentence and lifetime supervision, Baez-Feliciano must register as a sex offender under the federal Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act and Megan’s Law.
The case was investigated by the Northampton Borough Police Department and Homeland Security Investigations. Assistant U.S. Attorney Rebecca Kulik prosecuted the case.
The prosecution was conducted under Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide Department of Justice initiative established in May 2006 to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse.
The initiative coordinates federal, state and local law enforcement resources to investigate and prosecute offenses involving the exploitation of children, including crimes facilitated through the internet, and to identify and rescue victims.
