Drivers should expect possible backups and delays when approaching the work zone. Plan extra time or seek an alternate route when practical, particularly during busier daytime travel periods.

The restriction is part of a $7 million PennDOT project to replace the Route 73 bridge over Skippack Creek.

The existing 90-year-old, two-span reinforced concrete bridge will be replaced with a single-span reinforced concrete structure measuring 104 feet long and 52 feet wide. The new bridge will carry two 12-foot travel lanes with 8-foot shoulders.
