PHILADELPHIA, PA — Drivers in Bucks, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties should prepare for overnight lane restrictions beginning Monday, August 17, as PennDOT milling and paving operations affect four state highways across the region.

In Bucks County, Route 513 (Hulmeville Road) will have a lane closure with flagging between Route 132 (Street Road) and Galloway Road in Bensalem Township from Monday, August 17, through Friday, August 21. Work is scheduled from 7:00 PM until 5:00 AM the following morning.
In Montgomery County, Church Road will have a lane closure with flagging between Township Line Road and Route 73 (Washington Lane) in Cheltenham Township during the same Monday-through-Friday period. The paving restriction will run from 8:00 PM until 5:00 AM.
Also in Cheltenham Township, Ashbourne Road/Montgomery Avenue/Central Avenue will be restricted with flagging between Washington Lane and Route 73 (Cottman Avenue) from 8:00 PM until 5:00 AM for milling.
Philadelphia drivers will see a separate round of work the following week. Berkley Street/Roberts Avenue will have a lane closure between Germantown Avenue and Henry Avenue from Monday, August 24, through Friday, August 28, between 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM for milling.
Motorists should expect backups and delays when approaching each work zone. Plan extra time or seek alternate routes when practical, particularly during the overnight construction hours.
The work is part of multiple PennDOT resurfacing and improvement contracts covering more than 240 miles of state highways across the five-county region. Crews are repairing, milling and repaving roads with new asphalt pavement.
All scheduled activities are weather dependent and may be postponed or rescheduled.
