WAYNE, PA — Clinical trial technology company CluePoints has appointed Martin “Marty” Magazzolo as chief commercial officer, tapping a healthcare technology executive with more than three decades of industry experience to lead its next phase of global growth.
Magazzolo will oversee the company’s worldwide commercial organization, including sales, marketing, account management and commercial operations, as CluePoints expands adoption of its risk-based quality management (RBQM) and clinical data quality oversight software across the life sciences sector, the company announced.
He joins CluePoints from Honeywell, where he served as chief commercial officer for the company’s Life Sciences business unit. Before Honeywell, Magazzolo held executive leadership roles across life sciences, healthcare technology, software, data and services businesses.
The appointment also marks a leadership transition for CluePoints co-founder Pat Hughes, who has led the company’s commercial organization since its inception. Hughes will move into a strategic advisor role supporting the executive team and long-term initiatives.
Chief Executive Officer Andy Cooper credited Hughes with helping build CluePoints into a global provider of RBQM technology and indicated Magazzolo’s experience scaling commercial organizations aligns with the company’s expansion plans.
“As our customers increasingly look for strategic partners to help them modernize their approach to RBQM and data quality oversight, Marty brings exactly the commercial leadership we need to deepen those relationships, expand our global reach, and accelerate our growth,” Cooper stated.
Magazzolo indicated the increasing volume and complexity of clinical trial data is driving demand for more advanced quality oversight tools.
“Traditional approaches are no longer enough,” he remarked. “As the market leader in RBQM and data quality oversight, CluePoints is helping customers leverage advanced analytics and AI-driven capabilities to improve quality, reduce risk, and accelerate outcomes for patients.”
In his new role, Magazzolo will lead CluePoints’ global commercial strategy, with responsibilities that include strengthening customer relationships, expanding the company’s international presence and supporting broader adoption of its clinical data quality and RBQM platforms.
