MT. LAUREL, NJ — Mid Penn Bank has appointed longtime TD Bank executive Robert Curley as senior executive vice president and president of its eastern division, placing a veteran regional banker in charge of operations across southeastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey as the company pursues growth in the Philadelphia metropolitan market.
The division encompasses Bucks, Chester, Montgomery and Delaware counties, Philadelphia and all of New Jersey. Curley will be based in Mt. Laurel and report directly to Mid Penn Bank President and Chief Executive Officer Rory Ritrievi.
Mid Penn Bank is a wholly owned subsidiary of Mid Penn Bancorp Inc. (NASDAQ: MPB).
Curley joins after more than 37 years at TD Bank and its predecessor, Commerce Bank N.A. Most recently, he served as executive vice president and regional president of TD’s Mid-Atlantic metropolitan operations, overseeing approximately 2,500 employees and more than 280 locations across six states and Washington, D.C.
His responsibilities included strategic direction and sales leadership for consumer, small-business, commercial and specialty banking operations, as well as lending services.
Earlier, Curley served as senior vice president and market president for South Jersey and Coastal New Jersey. He helped oversee a 100-location retail network and managed commercial and small-business lending teams across nine New Jersey counties.
The appointment gives Mid Penn an executive with established banking relationships across a region where the company has invested in expansion over the past eight years.
Ritrievi described Curley as having “deep market equity in a market we have committed resources to over the last eight years,” underscoring the bank’s emphasis on expanding its regional presence.
Curley characterized the appointment as an opportunity to take a broader leadership role at Mid Penn and support growth across its banking operations.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics, emphasizing finance and statistics, from Pennsylvania State University and has completed executive education programs through the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.
Curley serves on the boards of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, New Jersey Chamber of Commerce, Ensemble Arts/Kimmel Center and Patriot Fund. He also serves on the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Corporate Council and the board of trustees of the Boys and Girls Club of Camden County.
His recent professional recognition includes NJBiz’s 2026 Power List for Finance and Big Brothers Big Sisters Independence’s 2025 Corporate Partner of the Year honor.
