Dot Ai Adds Former RR Media CEO After $65 Million Acquisition

Business News

WILMINGTON, DE — Dot Ai (Nasdaq: DAIC) has appointed technology executive Avi Cohen to its board of directors following its $65 million acquisition of Envoy Technologies, adding experience in corporate integration and expansion as the company moves to develop its electric vehicle car-sharing business.

Dot Ai, which operates under the corporate name CID HoldCo Inc., completed the approximately $65 million all-stock acquisition in October 2026, making Envoy a wholly owned subsidiary.

Envoy provides on-site electric vehicle car-sharing services to residential communities, hotels and resorts across the United States. The acquisition gives Dot Ai an operating business with established property relationships and supporting technology infrastructure.

Cohen previously led RR Media through a period of expansion that culminated in its acquisition by satellite operator SES S.A. in 2016 for $242 million.

As chief executive officer of RR Media, he oversaw operations that generated record annual revenue of $140.3 million in 2015.

Following the acquisition, Cohen became chief executive officer of MX1, the business created through the combination of RR Media and SES Platform Services.

That experience is particularly relevant to Dot Ai as it integrates Envoy and evaluates opportunities to expand its operations.

“He’s led a company through a significant acquisition and gone on to run the combined business,” Shmulik Yannay, chief executive officer of Envoy Technologies, stated. “As Envoy enters this next chapter under Dot Ai, that firsthand understanding of how to bring businesses together and build on their strengths is extremely valuable.”

Cohen’s earlier executive positions include roles at Orbit Technologies, KLA Corporation and ECI Telecom.

He has also held board positions at semiconductor technology company Nova (Nasdaq: NVMI), investigative analytics provider Cognyte Software (Nasdaq: CGNT) and ZOOZ Strategy (Nasdaq: ZOOZ).

His experience spans technology operations, corporate acquisitions, investment strategy and the management of businesses following ownership changes.

For Dot Ai, the appointment comes as the company seeks to build on Envoy’s existing commercial relationships while assessing opportunities across its broader technology portfolio.

“Dot Ai has an opportunity to build on Envoy’s established business, its property relationships and the technology supporting its operations,” Cohen stated.

He identified expanding Envoy’s existing operations and exploring opportunities elsewhere in Dot Ai’s portfolio as priorities for the company’s next stage of development.

The appointment strengthens Dot Ai’s board with an executive who has managed both a technology company sale and the subsequent integration of acquired businesses, experience directly applicable to the company’s transition following its Envoy acquisition.
