LAUREL, DE — The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit is appealing to the public for assistance in identifying suspects involved in a homicide that transpired in Laurel last year. Law enforcement agencies continue to seek information to resolve this tragic incident and bring justice to those affected.

On October 29, 2023, at approximately 2:47 p.m., officers from the Laurel Police Department, alongside Delaware State Troopers, responded to a shooting report on the 500 block of West 7th Street within Laurel’s town limits. Upon arrival, authorities discovered 18-year-old Kylee Robinson with multiple gunshot wounds on the porch of a residence. He was promptly transported to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

In addition to Robinson, two other individuals, a 15-year-old male and a 13-year-old male, were also found on the porch, having sustained gunshot wounds to their lower extremities. Both were taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries deemed non-life-threatening.

The Laurel Police Department, recognizing the complexity of the case, enlisted the Delaware State Police Homicide Unit to spearhead the investigation. Preliminary findings suggest that two unidentified black male suspects approached the victims on foot and opened fire before fleeing westward on foot after discharging numerous rounds.

The Homicide Unit is diligently pursuing leads and encourages anyone with knowledge of the suspects’ identities to reach out. Individuals with pertinent information are urged to contact Detective M. Csapo at 302-741-2729. Alternatively, information can be relayed anonymously through Delaware Crime Stoppers by dialing 1-800-847-3333.

Authorities emphasize that a criminal complaint or arrest is merely an allegation, and any suspects are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. The investigation remains active, as detectives strive to unveil the circumstances surrounding this grievous event.
