PHILADELPHIA, PA — A Warminster man was sentenced to 90 months in federal prison and 10 years of supervised release after pleading guilty to child pornography charges, U.S. Attorney David Metcalf said.
Richard Adamsky, 66, was sentenced Tuesday by U.S. District Judge Gerald J. Pappert, who also ordered him to pay a $30,000 fine, $38,000 in restitution, a $10,000 assessment under the Justice for Victims of Trafficking Act, and a $20,000 assessment under the Amy, Vicky, and Andy Child Pornography Victim Assistance Act.
Adamsky pleaded guilty in December to one count of receipt and attempted receipt of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.
According to court filings, Adamsky received images of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct on or about June 15, 2024, and possessed additional materials on two computers and two flash drives.
Authorities said the materials included images of prepubescent minors and children under the age of 12.
At the time of his arrest, Adamsky was a seventh- and eighth-grade teacher at Nativity of Our Lord School in Warminster, where he had worked for 38 years.
The case was investigated by the FBI’s Fort Washington Resident Agency, along with Warminster Township Police Department, Upper Merion Township Police Department, and the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Maureen McCartney prosecuted the case.
