No detour has been announced. Motorists should reduce speed through the construction zone, expect backups and seek alternate routes when practical.

The pavement marking work is part of a $9.3 million project to improve travel and safety along the western section of the Coatesville Downingtown Bypass through the City of Coatesville and Caln Township, Sadsbury Township, Valley Township and West Caln Township. The project includes milling, base repairs, a new bituminous overlay, reinstallation of edge-line rumble strips and new pavement markings.

Allan Myers Inc., of Worcester, is the general contractor. The project is financed entirely with state funds.
