NEWARK, DE — A Wilmington resident has been arrested in connection with a series of burglaries targeting various businesses across New Castle County and beyond.
According to the Delaware State Police, 36-year-old Larry Wilmer was taken into custody on May 1, 2025, in Newark after an extensive investigation into multiple burglaries occurring from December 2024 through April 2025. These incidents include break-ins at Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park in Newark, Domino’s Pizza in Middletown, and several establishments in The Shops at Limestone Hills.
Police allege that Wilmer and his accomplices used tools to force open rear doors of businesses, stealing cash and safes before fleeing. Investigators have linked the group to similar crimes in Maryland and Pennsylvania.
During Wilmer’s arrest, authorities discovered approximately 14.7 grams of crack cocaine. He now faces numerous charges, including six counts of third-degree burglary, possession of burglar tools, possession of a controlled substance, wearing a disguise during a felony, conspiracy, theft, and criminal mischief. Wilmer was arraigned and is being held at the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on a $79,100 cash bond.
Law enforcement continues to investigate the incidents and is working with agencies in neighboring states to identify his alleged accomplices.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
