LINWOOD, PA — Lower Chichester Police arrested a Delaware County man early Monday following a series of overnight calls involving suspicious behavior in a residential neighborhood.
According to investigators, officers were dispatched at approximately 1:55 a.m. May 25 to the 1600 block of Huddell Avenue for a report of a person with a gun.
Police reported officers made contact with the caller, later identified as 44-year-old Jonahthan Edward Fischbach, who allegedly told officers a group of men had been chasing him after an earlier encounter involving a nearby vehicle.
Investigators reported that Fischbach appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance based on his behavior. Officers initially allowed Fischbach to leave the area and cleared the scene, according to police.
A short time later, officers were dispatched back to the neighborhood after receiving reports that the same individual was allegedly looking into vehicles, investigators reported. Police said officers were unable to locate Fischbach at that time, but witnesses confirmed he was the same person involved in the earlier incident.
According to police, officers were later called back to the area for reports that Fischbach allegedly had entered the fenced rear yard of a residence without permission.
Investigators reported officers located Fischbach on the roof of a garage behind the residence. Police stated that Fischbach complied with commands to come down and was taken into custody without incident.
According to investigators, Fischbach later allegedly admitted to using methamphetamine earlier in the evening and told officers he was experiencing hallucinations.
Police charged Fischbach with loitering and prowling at nighttime, disorderly conduct, defiant trespass involving fenced or enclosed property, and public drunkenness.
All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
