WAYNE, PA — TekniPlex Healthcare will promote its China-based manufacturing of medical tubing and components at Medtec China from September 1–3, positioning the Pennsylvania company to compete for device manufacturers seeking regional suppliers for surgical, vascular and drug-delivery products.
The company plans to present three product lines at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre: silicone pump tubing, multilined tubing for eye surgery and precision tubing for minimally invasive vascular procedures.
Its silicone tubing is intended for peristaltic pumps, infusion pumps and other systems that require controlled fluid delivery. TekniPlex stated that its materials and manufacturing processes are designed to improve elasticity, fatigue resistance and consistency.
The company’s ophthalmic tubing combines multiple independent lines within compact assemblies, allowing surgical devices to manage fluid and gas delivery in constrained spaces.
For vascular procedures, TekniPlex China manufactures single-layer and multilayer balloon catheter tubing, three-layer inner tubing and other components used in interventional devices. The products are designed to meet specifications for friction, bonding, dimensional accuracy and catheter movement.
“As China’s medical device industry continues to move toward higher-value and more sophisticated applications, customers are increasingly looking for reliable partners with advanced materials expertise, precision manufacturing capabilities, and strong supply chain support,” stated Enrique Zhang, commercial director of TekniPlex China.
Phoebe Fan, a business manager with TekniPlex China, will discuss localized manufacturing of vascular interventional tubing on September 2 from 2:30 to 3 p.m. at the conference’s forum on implantable and interventional medical devices.
The presentation will take place in Conference Room A of Hall N2. TekniPlex will exhibit at Booth 2A112 in the same hall.
