Hello Kitty Collectibles Await Chester County Blood Donors

WEST CHESTER, PA — The American Red Cross will hold blood drives across Chester County from September 1-20 as it works to stabilize a blood supply that remains vulnerable to declining donor availability and weather-related disruptions.

The organization reported that donations have helped the supply recover from critically low summer levels. September could bring renewed pressure as school activities reduce donor availability and Atlantic tropical systems threaten to cancel blood drives.

Blood and platelet donations collected in unaffected communities may also be sent to areas where severe weather or natural disasters prevent collections.

People who donate between September 1 and 20 will receive an American Red Cross and Hello Kitty plush mascot clip and a surprise sticker pack while supplies last. Promotion details are available at RedCrossBlood.org/HelloKitty.
