Sellersville Drivers Face Weeks of Lawn Avenue Detours

SELLERSVILLE, PA — Motorists in Sellersville Borough and West Rockhill Township should prepare for several weeks of closures, detours, and lane restrictions as milling and paving operations begin on Lawn Avenue in Bucks County.

Sellersville Borough officials said a series of construction phases will affect travel along Lawn Avenue for more than a month as crews mill and repave sections of the roadway.

The first phase runs from Monday, June 8, through Friday, June 19, when Lawn Avenue will be closed overnight on weekdays between Almont Road and Life Mark Drive from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Drivers will be detoured using Route 563 (Ridge Road), Main Street, and Noble Street.

Beginning Monday, June 15, through Friday, June 26, weekday lane closures with flagging will be in place between Almont Road and Noble Street from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Additional daytime closures are scheduled from Friday, June 26, through Thursday, July 2, between Noble Street and Noble Street. During that phase, passenger vehicles will be directed to use Maple Avenue, Farmers Lane, and Lawn Avenue, while trucks will be routed via Noble Street, Main Street, and Route 563 (Ridge Road).

The final scheduled phase will occur from Tuesday, July 7, through Friday, July 17, when Lawn Avenue will close weekdays between Noble Street and Maple Avenue from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

During the July closure, passenger vehicles will again be directed to use Maple Avenue, Farmers Lane, and Lawn Avenue. Truck traffic will be detoured using Cat Hill Road, County Line Road, and Route 563 (Ridge Road).

Local access will be maintained up to the work zones throughout the project.

Drivers should expect changing traffic patterns, reduced travel speeds, and periodic delays as work progresses through multiple construction phases. Plan extra time and consider alternate routes when possible, particularly during daytime closures and overnight paving operations.
