BERWYN, PA — Baseball will become a lesson in teamwork, mentorship, and generosity when more than 40 Philadelphia Bell Ringers athletes welcome young people from Sunrise of Philadelphia to the Field of Dreams in Berwyn.
Sow Good Now will host its sixth annual PBT Baseball GiveBack on Wednesday, July 29, bringing the two groups together for three hours of baseball instruction and relationship-building. The event is designed to give participating youth skills they can carry beyond the diamond while encouraging experienced athletes to use their talents in service to others.
Members of the Philadelphia Bell Ringers will teach baseball skills and strategies while emphasizing the team’s focus on hard work and building a positive culture. Organizers hope the shared experience will help participants develop teamwork, social connections, and an understanding of how sports can create meaningful community change.
Sunrise of Philadelphia provides after-school programs that support working families and young people from underserved communities. Its programs are intended to help participants explore new interests, develop their abilities, and discover paths toward future success.
The Berwyn event also advances Sow Good Now’s mission of developing philanthropic athletes. The nonprofit pairs high school and college athletes with young people from underserved communities, teaching participants to share their time, talents, resources, and connections through sports.
