Lane Striping Alert: Roadwork on State Highways in Montgomery County from July 23-28

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that line striping with moving lane closures is scheduled on several state highways in Montgomery Counties on Sunday, July 23, through Friday, July 28, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning.

The work locations are:

  • Allentown Road between County Line Road and Route 63 (Forty Foot Road) in Salford, Franconia, and Towamencin townships;
  • Route 611 (Easton Road/York Road/Old York Road) between County Line Road and Cheltenham Avenue in Jenkintown Borough, Cheltenham, Montgomery, Abington, Upper Moreland, and Horsham townships; and
  • Route 232 (Huntingdon Pike) between the Philadelphia County line and the Bucks County line in Rockledge and Bryn Athyn boroughs and Abington and Lower Moreland townships.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays may occur. The schedule is weather dependent.
