Bridge Construction Planned Next Week on U.S. 1, Old Lincoln Highway in Middletown Township

MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that bridge construction is scheduled next week on U.S. 1 and on Old Lincoln Highway at the U.S. 1 overpass in Middletown Township under a project to improve U.S. 1 in Bucks County.

On Saturday, September 30, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, southbound U.S.1 will be reduced to one lane between Route 413 and the Neshaminy Exit for beam setting on the new southbound U.S.1 overpass at the Penndel/Business U.S.1 Exit.

Additionally, on Saturday, September 30, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, periodic stoppages of up to 15 minutes will take place on southbound Lincoln Highway for beam setting on the new southbound U.S.1 overpass.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas. All scheduled activities are weather dependent and subject to change.
