CHESTER COUNTY, PA — Motorists traveling through parts of Chester County should prepare for potential delays as the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has slated resurfacing operations to begin next week. This necessary maintenance work will focus on Route 796 (Jennersville Road), spanning between Route 896 (Newark Road) and Route 41 (Gap Newport Pike) in both New London and Londonderry townships.

Scheduled from Monday, April 29, to Thursday, May 2, these operations are set exclusively for overnight hours, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning. During these times, a lane closure will be implemented to facilitate milling and base repair activities. The timing is designed to minimize disruption; however, drivers should still anticipate slowdowns when navigating through the affected segments.

PennDOT advises travelers to allocate extra time for their journeys through these townships during the specified dates. The efficiency and safety of the operations depend heavily on favorable weather conditions. Consequently, the schedule might adjust in response to meteorological changes.
