WEST CHESTER, PA — On September 21, the Encore Shop, a local upscale consignment shop located in Kennett Square PA, celebrated its 50th anniversary by presenting Chester County Hospital (CCH) with a generous donation of $300,000 for the Chester County Hospital Foundation.  The check presentation took place during a community Open House celebrating the shop’s 50th anniversary milestone.

In attendance were volunteers, community members, as well as local leaders such as State Senator Carolyn Comitta, Chester County Board of Commissioners Chair Member, Marian Moskowitz, Chester County Hospital President and CEO Michael Duncan, and former NFL coach, Dick Vermeil.

“The Encore Shop continues to thrive fifty years after its opening,” said Carol Duncan, President of the Kennett Square Branch of the Women’s Auxiliary to CCH. “The staff and volunteers are grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this ongoing legacy to our community and Chester County Hospital”.

The consignment shop is a project of the Kennett Square Women’s Auxiliary of CCH, and each year they raise thousands of dollars to benefit a variety of CCH’s patient programs. Throughout its 50 years of giving back, the Encore Shop has raised over $5 million for The Chester County Hospital, making a lasting impact on healthcare in the community. The Encore Shop is located at 1056 East Baltimore Pike in Kennett Square, PA, and is open from Monday-Saturday 9:30 am-4 pm. For more information about the shop, please visit www.encoreshop.org.
