COATESVILLE, PA — On Sunday, August 18th at 4:00 p.m., the City of Coatesville will recognize Mr. Emmett Golden Hunt, Sr. with a street dedication in honor of his humanitarian, philanthropic, and entrepreneurial work in the City of Coatesville spanning fifty-five (55) years. The community is invited to attend the recognition ceremony which will be held on the corner of 5th Avenue and Lincoln Highway.
Mr. Hunt spent his life caring and sharing his unwavering faithfulness—not only in the City of Coatesville, but throughout Chester County. He is the founder of several programs focusing on youth development, sports, and business. He was the first President of the Cheney University-Coatesville Alumni Organization, Director of the Coatesville Memorial Community Center, and founder of the Emmett Golden Hunt Memorial Chapel.
The City of Coatesville will unveil a new street sign dedicating a portion of 5th Avenue in his honor and a bronze plaque where the Emmett Golden Hunt Memorial Chapel is located. During the ceremony, family members and guests will comment on Mr. Hunt’s commitment to the City and highlight a few of his personal accomplishments throughout his illustrious life.
