Masked Robber Strikes Newark Store, Flees With Cash

NEWARK, DE — Delaware State Police are investigating an armed robbery at a convenience store Sunday morning, according to authorities.

Police said troopers responded on May 3 at approximately 8:15 a.m. to the Shore Stop in the 700 block of South Old Baltimore Pike for a reported robbery.

According to investigators, an unknown suspect allegedly entered the store wearing a mask and armed with a knife, approached a clerk, and demanded money from the register.

Police reported the clerk complied, and the suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Authorities said no injuries were reported.
