TREVOSE, PA — Comcast completed a network expansion in Bloomsbury last week that connects nearly 400 homes and businesses to Xfinity and Comcast Business services for the first time, extending the company’s recent infrastructure buildout in New Jersey.
The project gives residents access to Xfinity internet, mobile, television, voice and home-security services, while businesses can obtain Comcast Business connectivity and networking products.
The Bloomsbury expansion follows Comcast’s connection of an additional 43,000 homes and businesses across New Jersey to Xfinity and Comcast Business services over the past year.
“By bringing Xfinity and Comcast Business services to more homes and businesses in Bloomsbury, we’re expanding choice, supporting local growth and helping residents, entrepreneurs and organizations connect to the tools they need to thrive,” said Dan Bonelli, Comcast’s regional senior vice president.
Comcast said its residential network offers multi-gigabit internet speeds and 99.9% reliability. The company also provides WiFi-based security products, including WiFi Shield, Shield Select and professionally monitored Xfinity Home Security.
Xfinity Mobile is available with speeds of up to 1 gigabit, according to the company. New customers can receive one mobile line free for a year when signing up for a qualifying Xfinity Internet plan.
The expansion also makes Comcast Business services available to eligible Bloomsbury businesses, including internet, SD-WAN, cloud connectivity, unified communications and mobile service. Comcast Business Mobile includes 5G connectivity and access to more than 23 million WiFi hotspots nationwide.
Comcast also offers Internet Essentials, a broadband adoption program providing eligible households with lower-cost internet service and affordable computers.
