LANGHORNE, PA — NEXGEL Inc. (Nasdaq: NXGL) has regained compliance with Nasdaq’s minimum share-price requirement after its stock maintained a closing bid of at least $1 for 10 consecutive trading days through October 23, resolving a listing deficiency that had threatened the medical technology company’s continued presence on the exchange.
Nasdaq’s Listing Qualifications Department notified NEXGEL that it had satisfied Listing Rule 5550(a)(2) and closed the compliance matter, according to the company. Its common shares will continue trading on the Nasdaq Capital Market.
The resolution follows an April 22, 2026, deficiency notice issued after NEXGEL’s shares traded below the required $1 minimum closing bid price for 30 consecutive business days.
Under Nasdaq’s listing standards, the company needed to maintain a closing bid price of at least $1 for a minimum of 10 consecutive trading days to restore compliance.
NEXGEL met that threshold on October 23, eliminating the previously identified deficiency and preserving its Nasdaq listing.
The Langhorne-based company operates in medical technology, wound care and consumer healthcare products.
Through its BIONX Surgical division, NEXGEL markets products used in wound management and ophthalmic applications, including Biovance human amniotic membrane allografts, Interfyl connective tissue matrix and SilverSeal antimicrobial hydrogel wound dressings.
Its ophthalmic portfolio includes the LUCENT, RADIANT and VIVID placental-derived ocular allografts.
NEXGEL also develops and manufactures high-water-content hydrogel products for healthcare, beauty and over-the-counter applications. The company has more than two decades of experience manufacturing electron-beam cross-linked hydrogels.
Its consumer brands include Hexagels, Turfguard, Kenkoderm and Silly George, alongside contract manufacturing relationships with consumer healthcare companies.
The Nasdaq determination closes the company’s minimum bid-price compliance matter, removing a regulatory obstacle to maintaining its exchange listing.
