EAST LAMPETER TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced a significant traffic detour set to commence next week in East Lampeter Township, Lancaster County.
This daytime detour is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance work by the railroad company on the Amtrak bridge that crosses Greenfield Road. Scheduled to begin on Monday, September 23, the road will be closed from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, for approximately 13 weeks.
The closure affects the stretch between Route 340 and Commerce Park East. Motorists are advised to follow the designated detour routes via Route 340 and Route 30 to navigate around the closed section.
