WILMINGTON, DE — A 19-year-old man was taken into custody following a vehicle stop that led to the recovery of a loaded firearm, according to police.
Wilmington Police said the incident occurred on April 28 at approximately 3:45 p.m., when members of the Gun Intelligence Unit were in the area of West 29th and North Washington streets.
According to police, officers observed a male subject acting suspiciously while entering a vehicle and conducted a traffic stop in the 3400 block of North Tatnall Street for a reported violation.
Police identified the individual as Ryshine Holloman, 19.
Authorities reported that Holloman was taken into custody without incident, and officers recovered a loaded 9mm handgun.
Holloman has been charged with carrying a concealed deadly weapon and breach of conditions of bond during commitment.
According to police, Holloman was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $70,000 cash-only bail.
All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
