COATESVILLE, PA — Drivers should prepare for nearly a month of weeknight lane closures on westbound U.S. 30 as pavement preservation and final line painting continue along the Coatesville Downingtown Bypass.

A lane closure will be in place each weeknight on westbound U.S. 30 between Airport Road and Route 340 (Kings Highway).
No detour has been announced. Drivers should plan extra time because backups and delays may occur through the work zone. Seek alternate routes when practical and remain alert for construction crews, equipment and changing traffic patterns.
The schedule is weather dependent and may be adjusted if conditions are unfavorable.
The restrictions are part of a $9.3 million project to preserve the western section of the Coatesville Downingtown Bypass through Coatesville and Caln, Sadsbury, Valley and West Caln townships.
Work includes milling, base repairs, a bituminous pavement overlay, edge-line rumble strips and new pavement markings. The improvements are intended to extend the useful life of the roadway and improve travel and safety along the corridor.
Allan Myers Inc. of Worcester is the general contractor. The project is financed entirely with state funds.
