According to PennDOT, a lane closure will be in place on eastbound U.S. 30 between the Bailey Road overpass and Business U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) from Monday, July 6, through Friday, July 10.
No detour has been announced, but motorists should expect delays as traffic merges through the active work zone. Plan extra time for travel and seek alternate routes when possible, especially during the evening and overnight hours.
The work is part of PennDOT’s ongoing $9.3 million project to improve travel and safety along the western section of the Coatesville Downingtown Bypass. The project includes milling, base repairs, application of a bituminous overlay, reinstallation of edge-line rumble strips, and new pavement markings to extend the life of the roadway.
The project corridor spans the City of Coatesville and portions of Caln, Sadsbury, Valley, and West Caln townships.
All scheduled activities are weather dependent and may be adjusted if conditions warrant.
Drivers traveling through the area should remain alert for changing traffic patterns, reduced lane capacity, and construction crews working near the roadway.
