PHILADELPHIA, PA — Philadelphia Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man suspected of robbing a 50-year-old woman at gunpoint while her 16-year-old son was with her on Delancey Street.

Police reported that the woman and her son parked their vehicle in the 300 block of Delancey Street at approximately 10:05 p.m. Aug. 12.

As the woman gathered her belongings, an unknown man allegedly approached her, pointed a handgun at her and demanded her wallet and cellphone, according to investigators.

The woman handed over her wallet but was unable to locate her phone, police reported. The suspect then allegedly patted the woman’s pockets while searching for the phone before demanding the 16-year-old’s wallet. Police said the teen did not have one.
