CLAYMONT, DE — Delaware State Police are investigating after four masked suspects allegedly robbed two people at gunpoint while they were fueling a vehicle early Thursday morning at a Wawa in Claymont.
Troopers responded at approximately 2:15 a.m. Aug. 13 to the Wawa at 601 Naamans Road for a reported armed robbery, according to state police.
Investigators allege four masked individuals approached two people as they were fueling their vehicle. Two of the suspects were allegedly armed with handguns, police reported.
The suspects allegedly demanded the victims’ property, and the victims complied, according to investigators. Police reported that the four suspects then fled on foot.
Neither victim was injured during the alleged robbery, according to state police.
The Delaware State Police Criminal Investigations Unit is investigating the incident. Authorities did not provide descriptions of the suspects beyond reporting that all four were masked and two were armed.
