CHESTER COUNTY, PA — Overnight lane closures will continue next week on eastbound U.S. 30 (Coatesville Downingtown Bypass) as PennDOT advances a major paving project through Coatesville and surrounding townships.
At a Glance
- Roads Affected: U.S. 30 (Coatesville Downingtown Bypass)
- Dates: Sunday, April 19 through Thursday, April 23
- Times: 8:00 PM – 5:00 AM (overnight)
- Reason: Milling and paving operations
The lane closure will be in place on eastbound U.S. 30 between the Bailey Road Overpass and Business U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) during overnight work hours.
No detour is planned, but motorists should expect reduced lane capacity and slow-moving traffic through the work zone. Plan extra time and consider alternate routes to avoid delays.
The work is part of a $9.3 million project to resurface pavement, complete base repairs, install rumble strips, and refresh roadway markings along the western section of the bypass.
All scheduled activities are weather dependent and may be adjusted as conditions require.
