The right lane of westbound Route 30 and the ramp connecting westbound Route 30 to northbound Route 222 will remain closed throughout the weekend.

Drivers heading to northbound Route 222 will be detoured along York Road, Fruitville Pike, Chester Road, and eastbound Route 30 to reach the northbound Route 222 ramp.

A temporary stop condition will also be imposed on the westbound Route 23 (New Holland Pike) ramp to westbound Route 30. Motorists using that ramp must stop before merging onto the highway.

The restrictions are part of a $72.2 million project to reconstruct the Route 30/Route 222 interchange, widen approximately one mile of Route 222 from four to six lanes, expand ramps, and replace two bridges. J.D. Eckman Inc. of Atglen is the contractor.

PennDOT warns that delays are expected. Drivers should allow extra travel time and use caution near the construction zone. The schedule is weather dependent.
