Lane closures will be in place on westbound U.S. 30 between Airport Road and Route 340 (Kings Highway). No detour has been announced.
The work will affect travel through the City of Coatesville and Caln, Sadsbury, Valley and West Caln townships. Motorists should reduce speed through the work zone, watch for shifting lane patterns and seek alternate routes when practical.
The $9.3 million project is intended to preserve and extend the useful life of the western section of the bypass. Planned work includes milling, base repairs, a new bituminous overlay, replacement of edge-line rumble strips and new pavement markings.
Allan Myers Inc., of Worcester, PA, is the general contractor. The project is financed entirely with state funds.
All work is weather dependent and may be postponed or rescheduled.
