WEST EARL TWP, PA — Southbound Route 222 drivers should expect delays beginning Friday night, August 28, as bridge repairs close the left lane and restrict access near the Route 772 (Brownstown/Rothsville) Exit in Lancaster County.

The left lane and shoulder of southbound Route 222 will remain closed throughout the weekend. The deceleration lane leading to the Route 772 exit will also be restricted, but the off-ramp will remain open.
The left-lane closure is scheduled to end Monday morning. Restrictions on the right shoulder and the deceleration lane will continue through Wednesday, September 3, while two through lanes remain available.
Drivers should plan extra time, expect delays during construction hours, and use caution when approaching the restricted exit lane.
The work is part of an $8.5 million pavement preservation project covering 3.3 miles of Route 222 in Manheim, Warwick, and West Earl townships. Most construction has been completed, but additional lane and possible ramp closures will be needed to finish the remaining work.
New Enterprise Stone and Lime Co. Inc., of New Enterprise, is the project contractor.
