HONEY BROOK, PA — The American Legion Auxiliary Post 422 has partnered with Wimpy & Dee’s Diner to host a Free Monthly Breakfast for Veterans, offering local service members a chance to connect and enjoy a meal in appreciation of their service.

The event, held on the first Tuesday of every month from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., takes place at Wimpy & Dee’s Diner, 5051 Horseshoe Pike in Honey Brook. Veterans can select from a special menu of five breakfast options at no cost.

The program launched in September and has already drawn strong community participation, with 45 veterans attending the inaugural breakfast and 44 the following month. Organizers say the response reflects both the need for veteran-focused community spaces and the local spirit of gratitude that fuels the initiative.

“Our sole purpose for this event is to give back to our veterans and thank them personally for the sacrifices they have made for our country,” said Tricia Brown, the Auxiliary spokesperson.

The Auxiliary plans to continue the program indefinitely, encouraging more veterans to attend future breakfasts, including upcoming events on Tuesday, November 4, and Tuesday, December 2.

Post 422 remains active in the Honey Brook community, hosting additional events such as a Halloween Party on October 25, a November Auxiliary meeting on November 20, and a Kids’ Christmas Party on December 13.

The growing turnout, organizers say, is proof that even small gestures of appreciation can strengthen bonds between veterans and the community they helped protect.
