Phillies Legends Return to Citizens Bank Park for Nation’s Top High School Baseball Showcase

DICK'S All-American Classic

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Some of baseball’s biggest names are heading back to Citizens Bank Park this summer—not as players, but as mentors for the next generation of stars. Former Phillies favorites Shane Victorino and Joe Girardi will lead the nation’s top high school baseball prospects during the 2026 Perfect Game DICK’S All-American Classic.

The showcase, set for Sunday, Aug. 16, brings together many of the country’s elite high school players, giving fans a chance to watch future college standouts and potential first-round MLB Draft picks compete on one of baseball’s biggest amateur stages.

Victorino, a two-time National League All-Star and key member of the Phillies’ 2008 World Series championship team, will manage Team East. Girardi, who managed the Phillies from 2020 to 2022 after guiding the New York Yankees to a World Series title in 2009, will lead Team West.

Joining them is an impressive coaching lineup featuring former American League MVP Mo Vaughn, Hall of Fame closer Trevor Hoffman, All-Star Ryan Klesko, and former Major League players Todd Coffey, Denard Span and Jason Phillips. Phillies fans will also recognize Milt Thompson, Ben Rivera, Kyle Kendrick, Tom “Flash” Gordon and José Contreras on the coaching staffs, while former World Series-winning manager Charlie Manuel will attend as honorary chairman.

“Bringing the DICK’S All-American Classic to Philadelphia is incredibly exciting, and having Joe Girardi and Shane Victorino lead this year’s teams makes the event even more special,” said Perfect Game CEO Rob Ponger. “Joe’s leadership and Shane’s passion for the game, combined with an outstanding coaching staff that includes several Phillies legends and former MLB stars, will create an unforgettable experience for our players and fans while celebrating one of baseball’s great cities during America’s 250th birthday celebration.”
