WILMINGTON, DE — Law enforcement officials in Wilmington have initiated a death investigation following the discovery of an injured individual in the 1900 block of West 4th Street. On the evening of November 1, at approximately 11:24 p.m., police responded to a welfare check call and encountered a 30-year-old male, later identified as Tyler Ponzo, who was unresponsive and suffering from a significant arm laceration.

Mr. Ponzo was promptly transported to a medical facility where he succumbed to his injuries. Subsequent inquiries conducted by Wilmington Police, in collaboration with the Delaware Division of Forensic Sciences, have characterized the incident as a fatal stabbing.
