PHILADELPHIA, PA — Philadelphia police are seeking the public’s help in identifying six men accused of carrying out a daytime commercial burglary on Germantown Avenue last month.
According to the Philadelphia Police Department’s Northwest Detective Division, the burglary occurred at approximately 11:50 a.m. on May 30 in the 5300 block of Germantown Avenue.
Investigators reported that surveillance footage allegedly shows two men forcing entry through a side door of a business on the block. Police said the investigation determined that over the next two hours, those two individuals and four additional men were allegedly seen entering and leaving the property multiple times.
According to police, the suspects are accused of stealing items from both an upstairs apartment and the business.
Investigators said surveillance footage also allegedly captured the suspects using two different white vans during the incident. Police reported that both vehicles displayed Pennsylvania registration plates, but investigators determined the plates did not match the vehicles involved.
No arrests have been announced in connection with the investigation.
The Northwest Detective Division is asking anyone with information about the burglary or the identities of the suspects to contact investigators at 215-686-3353 or 215-686-3354 and reference case number DC 26-14-042254.
All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
