Fatal Shooting Suspect Sought After Store Altercation

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Police are searching for a suspect accused in a fatal shooting that followed an altercation inside a West Philadelphia store, according to the Philadelphia Police Department.

Authorities reported that at approximately 4:40 p.m. April 6, two men became involved in a dispute inside a business in the 4000 block of Market Street.

According to investigators, one man allegedly shot the other during the altercation, resulting in the victim’s death.

Police stated the suspect fled the scene on a motorized scooter and was last seen in the area of the 4100 block of Aspen Street.

Investigators reported that surveillance cameras captured the incident and images of the suspect.

According to police, the suspect is described as a Black male believed to be in his 40s with a thin build and a mustache. He was last seen wearing a black hooded jacket with “Guess” branding, distressed blue jeans, black Nike Air Max Goadome boots, and white headphones. Authorities said the suspect is known to frequent the area of 40th and Market streets.

Police reported that a $20,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case.

Authorities advised the public not to approach the suspect and to call 911 immediately if he is seen.
