Wilmington Man Faces Drug Charge After Marijuana Seizure

WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington police reported arresting a 34-year-old man Sept. 3 after officers allegedly observed drug-related activity in the 1200 block of Lancaster Avenue.

Members of the Wilmington Police Department’s Drug, Organized Crime and Vice Division were in the area at approximately 1:40 p.m. when they observed a man allegedly engaged in drug-related activity, according to police.

Officers made contact with Sharif Pollard, 34, and took him into custody without incident, police reported.

Police said officers recovered approximately 115 grams of marijuana and $1,200 in cash.

Pollard was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, according to police.

Following his arraignment in Justice of the Peace Court 11, Pollard was released on $2,500 unsecured bail, police reported.

All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
