WSFS Extends Philadelphia Union Sportsplex Naming Rights Through 2031

WSFS Bank

WILMINGTON, DE — WSFS Bank, the primary subsidiary of WSFS Financial Corporation (Nasdaq: WSFS), has extended its naming-rights agreement with the Philadelphia Union, securing branding rights for the WSFS Bank Sportsplex in Chester through the 2030-31 Major League Soccer season as the $100 million facility continues to expand its role as a regional sports and events destination.

The extension preserves WSFS’ position as the official bank and wealth-management partner of the Philadelphia Union and continues a relationship tied to one of the largest sports infrastructure investments in the Philadelphia region.

The 170,000-square-foot complex, located adjacent to Subaru Park, opened in July 2025 and serves as the training and competition hub for the Philadelphia Union, Union II, and Union Academy. The facility has also hosted the U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Teams, along with international clubs and national teams preparing for major competitions.

According to the organizations, the sportsplex has hosted more than 1,000 events since opening, attracting more than 700,000 visitors through tournaments, matches, practices, graduations, and community programming.

The facility’s growing event volume underscores its role as an economic and recreational asset for Chester and the surrounding region, extending activity beyond the Union’s professional match schedule.

As part of the partnership, the Union and WSFS said they will continue providing community access to the complex. More than 365 hours of field and facility time have been donated annually to local organizations, with both parties aiming to expand that commitment in future years.

The organizations also plan additional investments at the site. Keystone Outdoor Living is slated to lead renovations that will add upgraded seating areas, lounges, and a bar designed to enhance event-hosting capabilities and support pregame activities ahead of Union matches.

Justin Dunn, WSFS Bank’s chief community impact officer, described the facility as an example of long-term investment in community access and athletic development.

Philadelphia Union Chief Revenue Officer Charlie Slonaker noted that the complex serves both the club’s player-development system and local schools, families, and community organizations throughout the region.

The extension ensures the facility will continue operating under the WSFS Bank Sportsplex name through at least the 2030-31 MLS season.
