Phreesia, March of Dimes Target Maternal Health Gaps

Phreesia

WILMINGTON, DE — Phreesia and March of Dimes have formed a nationwide partnership to deliver maternal and infant health information to patients and healthcare providers before prenatal and postpartum appointments, targeting preventable conditions that can worsen outcomes for mothers and babies.

The campaign will distribute March of Dimes educational materials through Phreesia’s patient engagement network, which the company reports supports one in six U.S. patient visits.

Content will focus on preeclampsia, postpartum depression and safe infant sleep practices. Pregnant patients, new parents and caregivers will receive information ahead of relevant appointments, while clinicians will receive complementary resources before meeting with them.

The organizations are positioning the campaign as a way to improve discussions during medical visits by giving patients and providers consistent information at the point of care.

“Every mom deserves access to trusted, timely information that helps them have meaningful conversations with their provider and make informed decisions throughout their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum,” March of Dimes Chief Impact Officer Kelly Ernst stated.

Ernst noted that patients may not know which questions to ask or when to raise concerns during pregnancy and after childbirth.

The partnership also addresses clinicians directly, distinguishing it from patient-only education campaigns. Phreesia and March of Dimes expect the two-sided approach to support shared decision-making and earlier recognition of maternal and infant health risks.

David Linetsky, president of Phreesia Network Solutions, characterized the initiative as an opportunity to place clinically relevant information in front of both groups before appointments.

“By placing relevant educational resources directly in the hands of patients and providers, this collaboration is an opportunity to create a positive, tangible impact on the maternal health crisis in the U.S.,” Linetsky stated.
