According to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, a weekday overnight lane closure will be in place on the ramp from westbound U.S. 322 (Commodore Barry Bridge) to northbound I-95 in the City of Chester.
The work is scheduled during overnight hours to reduce daytime traffic impacts, but motorists should still expect backups and slower travel through the area. The ramp serves as a major connector for drivers traveling between Delaware County, South Jersey, and the I-95 corridor.
PennDOT advised motorists to allow extra time when traveling through the construction zone and to seek alternate routes when possible. All work is weather dependent and schedules may change if conditions deteriorate.
No formal detour was announced, but drivers traveling westbound on Route 322 toward I-95 North should prepare for intermittent slowdowns approaching the interchange.
Commuters are encouraged to monitor traffic conditions before heading out, especially during overnight and early morning travel hours.
