  • Roads Affected: Langhorne-Yardley Road and Woodbourne Road
  • Dates: June 29-July 2, 2026
  • Times: 9:00 AM-3:00 PM
  • Reason: Curb construction

According to PennDOT, periodic lane closures with flagging operations will be in place from Monday, June 29, through Thursday, July 2, on Langhorne-Yardley Road between Bridgetown Pike and Briggs Road and on Woodbourne Road between Kilburn Road and the entrance to Core Creek Park.

Flaggers will direct traffic through the work zones while crews perform curb construction associated with the ongoing intersection improvement project.

No detour has been announced, but motorists should expect delays as traffic is periodically slowed through active construction areas. Plan extra time for travel and seek alternate routes when possible during daytime work hours.

The work is part of a $10.9 million PennDOT project aimed at improving traffic flow and safety at the intersections of Langhorne-Yardley Road with Bridgetown Pike and Woodbourne Road.

The project previously delivered a new single-lane roundabout at Langhorne-Yardley Road and Bridgetown Pike, which reopened in August 2025. Additional improvements continuing through summer 2026 include realigning the northern leg of Woodbourne Road, constructing auxiliary turn lanes on all four approaches, and widening the eastern leg of Woodbourne Road to accommodate a new left-turn lane approaching Erica Drive.

All scheduled activities are weather dependent and may be adjusted if conditions warrant.

Drivers traveling through the corridor should remain alert for flagging operations, changing traffic patterns, and construction crews working near the roadway.
