According to PennDOT, lane closures with flagging will be in place from Monday, June 29, through Wednesday, July 1, on Bortondale Road and Orange Street between Old Middletown Road and Baltimore Pike.
The work zone extends through portions of Middletown Township, Upper Providence Township, and Media Borough.
Flaggers will direct traffic through the construction area while crews perform milling, paving, and utility adjustment work.
No detour has been announced, but motorists should expect delays as traffic is periodically stopped and directed through the active work zone. Plan extra time for travel and seek alternate routes when possible, particularly during peak daytime hours and overnight construction periods.
The resurfacing work is part of PennDOT’s ongoing effort to repair and improve state highways by installing new asphalt pavement designed to provide a safer and smoother driving surface.
All scheduled activities are weather dependent and may be adjusted if conditions warrant.
Drivers traveling through the corridor should remain alert for flagging operations, changing traffic patterns, and construction crews working near the roadway.
