PHILADELPHIA, PA — Philadelphia Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man suspected in two commercial burglaries at a Citizens Bank on Stenton Avenue, including an Aug. 9 break-in in which blank checks were allegedly taken.
According to the Philadelphia Police Department’s Northwest Detective Division, an unknown man allegedly broke into the Citizens Bank at 6324 Stenton Ave. at approximately 2:30 a.m. Aug. 9.
Police allege surveillance footage shows the man using a red brick to break a door window before entering the bank. Investigators reported that several blank checks were taken from inside.
The suspect was last seen walking north away from Stenton Avenue toward Tulpehocken Street, according to police.
Investigators described the suspect as a Black man wearing a black mask, hoodie, jacket, pants and shoes. Police also reported that he carried a black bookbag bearing an “ENON Tabernacle Baptist Church” emblem.
Police believe the same individual may also be connected to another commercial burglary at the same Citizens Bank on Aug. 5. In that incident, investigators reported that the suspect was dressed in black and wore a partial white mask.

All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
