Road Work Alert: Lane Closures and Paving Projects in Chester County

Lane closures

CHESTER COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that resurfacing operations are scheduled on several state highways in Chester County, under several projects to repair and pave state highways across the Philadelphia Region.

The work schedules and locations are:

  • Sunday, July 30, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Swedesford Road between Route 252 (Valley Forge Road) and West Valley Road in Tredyffrin Township for paving;
  • Sunday, July 30, through Friday, August 4, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Westtown Road between Old Westtown Road and the Delaware County line in Westtown, West Goshen, and Thornbury townships for casting adjustments, milling and paving;
  • Monday, July 31, through Friday, August 4, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Swedesford Road between Route 252 (Valley Forge Road) and West Valley Road in Tredyffrin Township for paving;
  • Monday, July 31, through Friday, August 4, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, alternating lane closures are scheduled in both directions on Paoli Pike between Five Points Road and Westtown Road/Garfield Avenue in West Goshen Township for milling and paving; and
  • Monday, July 31, through Friday, August 4, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 23 (Nutt Road) between Route 113 (Kimberton Road) and Route 29 (Main Street/Manavon Street) in Phoenixville for casting adjustments, milling, and paving.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
